Just a word of warning... everytime you download, install or run a program you are reducing the chance of you recovering your pictures. Every time you do a scan you are writing to the hard drive and thus overwriting potenitally recoverable data. Make sure you recover your data to ANOTHER source, like an external hard drive etc..
