Hi
We're having a Multi Fuel Burning stove installed and I have a piece of Granite (recycled from my old fire) For peace of mind i've decided to have it cut so it won't crack due to the heat when the stove is burning.
I've found a shop that will cut said granite- but does anyone know the best way to re join the granite ready for the stove to sit on?
I hope this makes sense:)
Thanks for your help.

I just had a worktop cut from a piece of granite,
and the whole point is that it's in one piece.
You might as well use tiles, if you want to do it in pieces.
Some people do exactly that.
Porcelain is tougher and impermeable, unlike stone, and they come in all kinds of realistic stone effect these days. I even had two pieces of 1200x600mm porcelain pieces: one looks like light oak floor boards, and the other one walnut. At 1200mm length, you don't even need a cut for a hearth.0
