help with carpeting a HA house

Ask at your local council office if there's a furniture charity similar to this (which is near us) http://www.furnitureplus.org.uk/
We got my mum a sofa, dining table and chairs from here. All in pristine, as new condition. They had loads of rolls of carpet there when we went to look around the warehouse. If you are on benefits, our local council gives you vouchers to spend there so might be worth asking if your council does the same.
I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....0 -
Yes, definitely asking your new housing officer if any help is available: they may give help like vouchers and they may know of other sources.Signature removed for peace of mind0
