CPW/02 new deal any good?
Hi all,,,Just wanted to get some feedback on a new deal ive been offered.
Ive been with 02 for 1yr now, bought through e2save, and my contract ends in a few weeks. So i called them this evening to see what they could do for me, as im on 250 mins/100 text for £35pm at the moment.
I was offered a few choices consisting of:
1: £35pm 600x / 100 text
2:£30pm 400x / 100 text
3: £25pm 200 / 100 text
All with a new SE w850i handset, and £45 cheque given to me.
I wasnt sure if was calling 02 or CPW, so i asked, and he told me he works on behalf of 02, for CPW. A bit confusing really!
So, are those deals i was offered any good? Could i get better ones? Or would i be better off talking to 02 directly?
Many thanks in advance!

I think you could find better than that have you got to stay with O2? Look on the CPW web siteThe measure of love is love without measure0

Thanks John.....No i dont have to stay with 02, i just figured i may get a better deal if i stayed with them, with retention and all. Ill take a look at the cpw site now, see what i can find!0

I've just bought a phone and I found https://www.moneysupermarket.com with the phone comparison helped me make up my mind. It depends if cost or number of minutes are important and whether you can be bothered with cash back.
I have just bought through the PHone spot (Quidco £50) and my bill for £35 orange 18 mth contract is £23(equivilant after cb)). I could have other sites but this was the right deal to suit me. I wanted a new style phone so knew I didn't have a lot of flexibilty. My friend has just bought a similar phone through Orange web site because unlimited texts was the priority.
I know it doesn't compare all the sites but it does help to work things out.0 -
Cheers Toby.......I only need about 200mins/100 text really, and want to see if i can cut it down to £20pm max. My current contract is a cashback redemption deal, so i dont want to get tied down to that again, and im after a 12month contract too.0

i renewed my phone early Dec. after pushing and pushing and pushing, i got:
400mins Offpeak + 100 Text
£8/mth
£100 Auto cashback after 3 months
Free SE K750i (worth about £70 on eBay)
which i think is the best i can get... so give them pressure!!!

Thanks Eddie, wow thats a hell of a deal!...£8 pm! + the phone and cheque! Would i be better off speaking to 02 directly, rather than cpw? im unsure on that!0

Your service provider is O2 CPW. Any upgrade must be negotiated through O2 CPW and not O2.suzy84 wrote:Would i be better off speaking to 02 directly, rather than cpw? im unsure on that!

Thanks Mark, spoke to them again this morning, but im still looking for a better deal!.....its hard work!0

O2 CPW are not renowned for good retention deals. Contrary to what network operators say, the best deals are invariably for new customers, especially if you are considering a cashback offer via a dealer. Use the opportunity to escape from CPW.suzy84 wrote:Thanks Mark, spoke to them again this morning, but im still looking for a better deal!.....its hard work!
