Slug pellets around edible crops

I wouldn't eat slugs. We had a ferret called Wilf, who loved them, but the effect on his behaviour when he'd had one, led us to believe there was something mildly hallucinogenic in their make up.
They didn't do a lot for his personal appearance, either!

I'm not sure what organic farms use, but the organic slug pellets you can buy for home use, use iron phosphate IIRC.Hi,
I do usually eat organic. Metaldehyde would not be used on organic fams, they use copper sulphate.
I will be eating the peas.
Thanks for all replies
But yeah, Bordeaux mixture is pretty horrible.
I would eat the peas, but I wouldn't use the pellets on my own garden.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
