So, is this employer who you worked for for almost 9 years (post #264) before leaving with a CA the same employer who made you redundant earlier this year after 16 years with a £22K payout? [see first thread started by Milkshock]0

looks like it was all a pretty good bit of trolling then. Fun while it lasted though.0

Well done, that is a nice piece of detective work for a "newbie".
Who were you before you became azsxdc?0 -

thats right my official reason for leaving was redundancy.
they paid me the redundancy package, twice.
i eventually returned the money that they overpaid which makes the whole situation now even more annoying to me, in that i operated above board so why couldnt they with regard to references?
and yes i did sign a CA with an agreed reference as well at the same time, so my story does add up
another point to add is what if i could prove that the email that was sent to new employer tipping them off actually came from a current employee of old company?0 -

Given how quickly the OP seems to have sorted the 'issues' around the CA, perhaps he did 16 year's work in 9! :rotfl:Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

Only after you seriously tried to find a way of keeping it though.in that i operated above board so why couldnt they with regard to references?
As far as I can see they did. However they were not prepared to lie when asked directly by the new employer.and yes i did sign a CA with an agreed reference as well at the same time, so my story does add up
So which adds up - 9 years with the company or 16 years? You would surely know how long you have been there.another point to add is what if i could prove that the email that was sent to new employer tipping them off actually came from a current employee of old company?
Don't see why that matters unless the person works for the HR department.0 -

but i didnt keep it therefore broke no contract.

did they? what they did was confirm everything the 3rd party said, thereby verifying what could very well have been viewed as wild claims.
or at least i could have told them myself what the issues were, and put my side of the story accross (albeit positively from my point of view)

9 years

why does it make a difference which department they came from, since everyone in the organisation is bound by the CA.
As a matter of fact the person does work in HR. And?
