Dave Ramsey Total money make over, sign up to pigsback use the audible trial to down download the the audio book. Some of what he talks about is american like 401k's instead of pensions and rath accounts instead of isa's but but the premise is good. Also he has a podcast of his american call in show every weekday which is free, just hearing people ring up and shout I'm debt free is such a motivation. I can't wait for the day I can ring in to his show. :j

Another one of my favourites -I have 3 of his books and his Financial Peace University course.

Again there are websites one in particular which is free which I can give a link to if anyone wants it - just pm me
  • I also rate Rebecca Ash's book, am so enjoying reading it!
  • another book I totally forgot 80/20 living cant remember exact title by Richard Kotz or something but very good works on the principle that 20% activity produces 80% results
:j Where there is a will there is a way - there is a way and I will find it :j
  • The Financial Services Authority website is good, for easy to understand but comprehensive info on all sorts of money stuff, eg what unit trusts, mid cap shares, etc etc mean, and stuff on budgeting, choosing mortgages etc.
  • just a tip- after you have read all thes MSE books sell them again as there are plenty of other people looking for them.
    I have just sold
    Rich dad poor dad
    Rich dad -guide to investing
    The spendless revolution
    and The millionaire next door

However I wouldn't part with my money diet book or the complete tightwad gazette:D :D

I got £21 back after postage on the first four, which will pay for some more books:D

  • Hi petite anglaise,
Myvesta provide a number of free books that you may wish to read. I think this book (see link below) does a good job of placing money worries into the correct context:
