Orange San Francisco
I just got an OSF off Ebay and the battery is just awful, I charged it last night and this morning after a quick call, the charge is half gone. Does anyone experienced that? I want to know if my battery is not longer good or if they're like that from start.
Also, how do we permanently disable mobile internet sites on ZTE Blade (rooted & runninig froyo 2.2 ?
Thank you

Go to settings / applications / running services then close down everything in there you don't need (they all come back on when you switch your phone off).
If it's still no good, you'll have to buy a new battery I suspect.0 -
Bear in mind that the SF has been out nearly a year now, so the battery may not be quite as good as new. What MarkBargain suggests above is good advice.
Also, try an app like Juicedefender - I find it works really well on my SF, shutting down non-essential stuff and prolonging the battery life.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Hi there
The OSF is a great little phone, but the battery life isn't the best. I use my nearly new phone a lot and get a day and a half, so I tend to charge up every night.
All the advice given so far is good. Another possibility is that your battery is fine, but the phone isn't reporting its charge accurately. Battery Calibrator from the market will reset your phone's battery stats. Once installed, charge your phone to 100% then run the app.
If that and the other suggestions don't improve things, you can pick up spare batteries pretty cheap on ebay. :T
By the way, there's a great forum dedicated to all things OSF - you'll find it if you search for 'android modaco'. :cool:0 -
My OSF battery lasts a day or 2 if using it a bit and some data/wifi... turning off everything including data connection I can get about 4 or 5 days in standby.
Basically smart phones need charging daily if you actually use some of the features!

These are all good suggestions.. you can also turn down screen brightness, disable bluetooth, change email syncing to be more infrequent etc. However, in your case, the battery should not be half gone after a short call - that's a risk with 2nd hand phones, but as nforne said, it may be best to pick up a new battery.0
