Upgrading on Orange

I am currently in a 18month contract with Orange (£25pm) and have had no real problems with them so far. My upgrade date is tomorrow (15th) and I am looking into getting a Xperia Play. Now to upgrade to this phone they want me to pay £149.99 for the handset, which I can no way afford.
Now I have just looked on Phones4u and found the same phone for £25pm and the handset is free on Tmobile :eek: Is there anything i can do to make Orange do the handset for free? as I don't believe I could afford to pay off the remainder of my current contract if i was to leave.

There is nothing you can do to MAKE them offer you the handset, vote with your feet and take up the new deal. They may have a change of heart.

So there's nothing to say they cant offer me the phone for free?
I just dont know how one network can charge £149.99 to a existing customer and another network offering basically the same contract except the handset is free to a new customer.

because T mobile want your business
if it was reversed then T mobile would want as much as it could from its existing customers

Just threaten to leave once your contract is up and move else where. Tell them off the other offers you have seen elsewhere

Remember that T-Mobile and Orange are one company now "Everything Everywhere" but be warned the retailer may be subsidising the deal too not just the network - as the phone may be a generic model not a T-Mobile/Orange locked one.
