Can I view items sold by Amazon only?

I've never found anything cheaper from a market place seller. I usually only buy sale items from Amazon and with the free shipping I find they always undercut the marketplace people.
Oh and I ordered a last minute present for my Son after seeing the Amazon toy bargains thread on here. They promised delivery by Christmas, left it too late to send 2nd class so upgraded it to first and it arrived Christmas Eve. Fortunately my postman leaves ALL packages on the doorstep if we are out so no hideous queueing at the post office either.
I've also returned things, once after 11 months when a digi camera developed a fault and again I couldn't fault the service I recieved from Amazon - another reason I would prefer to buy from them.
I've often wondered how to filter out the stuff thats only in the marketplace too!The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -
As a seller if mainly books on amazon I can agree with almost all the points already made. I'd only buy expensive items if they were actually sold by amazon (not just fulfilled by amazon - where amazon handle warehousing/delivery for seller), sellers of high-price items on amazon often have quite harsh feedback left for them, usually due to delivery or quality, due to being drop-shippers or re-sellers of 'grey' imports, though there are a small number of professional sellers in these categories with hundreds of good feedbacks and managing above a 95% satisfaction rate that I may be happy to deal with if cheaper than amazon or not sold by amazon. Or even if amazon have a long lead time on dispatch/delivery I may choose a marketplace seller. Though even amazon marketplace items are sold with more support/protection from amazon than items on ebay are!
Back to the original question - It's not possible to just select items stocked by amazon due to the way the site is set up you can't filter search results very easily and you just have to check the status on the listings. The search facility overall is pretty poor in comparison to ebay, but it's all 'swings & roundabouts'!Do You Twitter?

I can't get it to work though. :heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Rare-stuff, thats cool - never noticed it before either. Will show my BF as she doesnt always notice that she is buying from a seller until she gets to the checkout.
Only tried a private seller once on Amazon, they were selling an item where they didnt hold any actual stock!
As I order most weeks from Amazon, this feature will save me time flicking through all the search pages.0 -
Hmmm!
I'm not sure the amazon sellers on here will thank me too much for pointing that out, and as a full-time amazon marketplace seller myself I'm not too keen on this function myself, though I imagine it's more relevant for those wishing to buy expensive electronics than the books and CD's I sell.
Though if you do wish to thank me for this I can provide you with a link to amazon that will earn me some pennies for you using it!

I think it is a fantastic function, plenty of times I have been looking to add some extra bits to make up a free delivery order or because I am getting free delivery.0

I still can't see it!! Maybe my random searches don't have that option

random searches probably won't, you'll have to go into a category to get this option, and it's on the left hand side, quite low on the page.Do You Twitter?

Thanks to above posters for showing how to filter out Marketplace sellers. I have a number of Amazon vouchers to spend and it will be useful for the screen to show Amazon items only.
Will give it a trial next time I'm using Amazon. For such a large well-known website I think it's time that the website had a complete revamp. Another problem with the site is that it's difficult to log off from the Home page.0
