Can I view items sold by Amazon only?

Hi all.

I was wondering if there's a setting on Amazon so that I only view items sold by Amazon and not other sellers? If there is can someone point me in the right direction please as I've spent ages looking and can't see anything like it.

Thanks!

  • any reason why? the Market Place sellers are often much cheaper with quicker dispatch than Amazon proper, my deliveries are often within 18 hours from the order being placed - Amazon don't work that fast!

    Hi Shelly

I don't think so, I've not seen such a setting and I buy (and sell) alot on Amazon.

I agree with Apprentice Tycoon, you will often get a better service from a Market Place Seller - but do check their feedback 100% and 99% sellers and also read the feedback for speed and quality of service.

Or 97% sellers with a good feedback record for fast delivery! :o

I have to say I'm with OP, I'm far too paranoid to buy something like an ipod from someone with a funny name, I much prefer the security of an Amazon invoice!

If it's a small order then the postage adds up using other idividual sellers.

Thanks all for replying to my query.

I have to say that fay and lorian have hit the nail square on the head. We prefer to use Amazon because it feels safer to buy from Amazon than a Market Place seller and if you spend over £15 with Amazon (which we usually do) you get free delivery. Just a shame there isn't a filter.

But you have the security of Amazon? You have the rights to send items back etc ... and you get it cheaper.

tbh, I think its obvious in this thread who sells on Amazon - but I'd have no problem ordering high value of Amazon.

(And people with 88% feedback can be trusted too! It only takes someone to be v.harsh with feedback for it to be ruined...:rotfl: )

I do sell on Amazon :) That's what worries me... any of those ipod sellers could be a random muppet like me :)

I actually did some research on finding a nice cheap ipod for a friend recently. We used kelkoo and found the cheapest was a seller who also sells on Amazon (at least you could identify him by the peculiar name). When we went to his site, the prices weren't consistent, and checkout wasn't working. His Amazon prices were lower, but we'd been put off him by then because his website was so confusing. My friend was keen not to buy from some random company with a weird name, and preferred Amazon. Luckily they finally got some stock in!

I suppose I'm being unnecessarily paranoid about the whole thing. That said, the ipod seller above has now dropped to 74% feedback so I'm not sorry we didn't order from him.

I find the selling system on Amazon to be very anonymous - that's great if you want to deal with a faceless company like Amazon, but not so reassuring if you want expensive electronics from some bloke called gordons_gadgets! (2nd hand books are obviously in another league :))

I ordered something on Amazon last year, and it hasn't come yet and won't be dispatched for a few days yet.
My fiance ordered something from Amazon Marketplace, and he's already had his and got bored of it.

I hate resurrecting old threads but had to when I saw this on HUKD in the hope that it helps someone. For some reason I can't get it to work but hopefully you can.....
