Blackpool Fish and Chips! Best place?

Looking for a good place for proper fish and chips.
Anywhere near the sea front would be great.
We have tried Harry Ramsdens and didn't think it was that good.

Any suggestions please?

I remember enjoying chips and curry sauce from the place with the 10p tea! (there was a big sign that said 10p at the side of the building)

Woodheads (Station Road, opposite South Pier) is pretty good.

Other than that, the best chippies I know in Blackpool are off the tourist areas. Taylors (near Morrisons) are one of the best and have won awards for their fish, also Seafresh (Bond Street) is delicious but a bit pricey than normal.

The Magpie chippy/restaurant in Whitby is fantastic!

I had deep fried camembert with chips and mushy peas. Best thing I have ever tasted! Pricey and sometimes long queues but well worth the wait!

The Magpie is over rated and expensive

I live in Scarborough. I use either Cappleman's on Murchison street just off town centre to the North

or the best is Crossgates near byways pub just off a64 near Morrisons, they have a cafe too. Capplemans dont. Crossgates is next door to ling Fu takeaway, I go there almost every week and I live other end of town but the chips are yummy best I have ever tasted

C Fresh Fish & Chips is lovely. Always a big queue for the takeaway. Its on Princess Street. If you turn up the side of the Foxhall pub on the front, its just there in front of you.

The staff in there are awful, foods ok.

I like the chippy near my house but it's away from the tourist areas

also taylors gets my vote too
