Email again clarifying you are cancelling under the Distance Selling Regulations :)
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

Did you read the OP? They are not asking whether they are entitled to both lights for £40. They are asking if they are entitled to a refund.

    The answer is yes.

    The OP also states:
I thought there was perhaps a problem with the website which could be taken advantage of. It read to me as the following:
So they admit that they were trying it on, once they realised they were not going to get two for the price of one they then decided that they wanted a refund.

Perhaps a call to the company before placing the order would have saved any confusion, however that would have highlighted the very "error" that they were trying to take advantage of....

So what if they wanted to take advantage of an error? They are quite entitled to do so, and they are quite entitled to a refund. Telling them to forget about it and move on is poor and inaccurate advice.

Sure the OP is entitled to a refund and we are not disputing that
but he does have a moan about his "misfortunes". Any misfortune is of his own making.

He also suggests that he knows others who have had the problem. This suggests the glitch has being doing the rounds and if not the OP then some of his friends expected to buy to sell. (How many people do you know who needs two Astra headlights!!!!!!)

I know at least 3-4 other people have also done the same at the same time as me too.

So to then come on to a consumer website bleating about misfortune is rather crass.

One person ordering might have had them delivered at the misadvertised price, but once people start posting about it on a vauxhaul owners forum there is no chance.
Looking at the user name who posted on this forum, I'd hazard a guess that the OP is one of them.

    I don't suggest, i'm telling you. There's a difference.

Also, i wouldn't really talk about topics which you clearly have no clue about.

How many people do you know who need 2 headlights?

Well how about people who have the chrome/clear look headlights from factory, which look crap, who then want to switch their headlights for the smoked effect, as with smoked rear lights too - they just look better.

Or should we just order 1 smoked one, and then run with 1 smoked & 1 clear? Just to satisfy your accusing nature!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    No.

So THAT is why 2 would be needed.

Think about it in future!! And don't talk about topics you don't have a clue about, because when you come with the accusations (either blatant or implied) then you just end up looking stupid.

No, i actually came on enquiring about refunds. Note the question in the title for all the skim readers - can i get my money back. Straight to the point.

Dress it up however makes you sleep well at night, it's your choice entirely. Just another Jeremy Kyle contestant - wanting to make a drama out of nothing.
