Hi everybody i just wanted to let anybody who bought this deal that they should have their items checked over at their nearest convenience.
I ordered the Benefit big smokin eyes kit and i was expecting a long wait for it to arrive, it arrived 2 days later. I had heard a rumour that some of the products they sell were not authentic so i popped into boots in my city centre today and sadly had that rumour confirmed. Just to be sure i also asked at the benefit counter in debenhams and john lewis and they too said it was a fake and even pointed out the differences between the real deal and my fake one
.
I have been in touch with my local trading standards and they say they will be investigating i will also be on to KGB as soon as i get chance, as i think they should refund everybody who bought the deal and not pay these frauds anything!!
I am not sure if it is just the Benefit products that are fakes and maybe thats why i recieved mine super quick or if anything else is affected. I just wanted to advise people to have their items checked out!!

I got the smokin eyes kit from this deal too and have been very happy with it. Haven't had it checked though, so can't say for sure whether it's genuine or not.0

there are a couple of things you can check yourself
Firstly if the eye-pencil has MADE IN GERMANY along it-it shouldn't
Also the compartment where the tweezers go should be magnetic so the tweezers don't fall out
I but a lot of benefit and i was completely fooled by this literally only had it checked to solve an argument!!
Maybe they have authentic ones and i sincerely hope that yours is but it would seem odd!0 -
I don't think they were experts on counterfeit goods but they do have a good knowledge of their own goods and when i was shown the differences there were obvious sloppy mistakes on mine and they did not retain the goods as i informed them i would be sending off to trading standards as that is what they would have done. Also i think it speaks volumes that i wrote on beauty stops facebook page telling them about this even giving them an oppurtunity to explain if they were unaware, did they answer me with an angry response- nope, they deleted my post so i wrote them again did they then take the oppurtunity to defend themselves-nope again. Instead they deleted the post (again) and blocked me from their facebook page- because thats what you would do if you had nothing to hide right?0

To be honest, if somebody nonced into a shop where I worked asking me to check some product(s) that they bought elsewhere for authenticity then there is only ever going to be one answer.......0
-
Ok so lets say all 3 Benefit staff lied because i had 'nonced' into their store and they had taken offence to that, the fact that i have a) emailed Beauty stop numerous times to no response, b) left messages on their facebook page which they have deleted and subsequently blocked me from their page and c) i called them (after nearly 2 days i got an answer) and informed them of what i had been told and told them i wanted to give them an oppurtunity to explain, there was silence for a couple of seconds before they HUNG UP the phone. Hardly seems like the actions of a company that are selling goods fairly does it?0

I hardly think it's a matter for the Russian security service! It's a bit of make-up, fgs!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I placed my order 9 weeks ago in June and I still haven't got mine so... not sure if they are a respectable company either0
-
It might not be a matter of national security BUT if its a fake product and its intended purpose is to be applied to the eyes I'd be very concerned. Who knows what's in there.0

I didn't see this dela but I have had fake benefit products from Amazon and ebay. They were terrible quality, nothing like the real benefit stuff. It's ddisappointing when something isn't what you expected.
However, I'm a benefit monster and have just about everything including the smoking eyes kit. If you love it, try Primarks one. I'm serious, it's the same if not better for a mere £2.0 -

A'bit of make up' at how much a piece? Let's say a tenner (honestly have no idea of what they are selling for) x how many people buying them? Companies like this will continue to make mega bucks if people all have the attitude 'it's a bit of make up'.....0
