Car hire in Spain without credit card

Can anybody give me any idea for car hire companies that will except debit card? I'm heading over to Murcia for a years study but could really do with renting a car for the first week while i find a place to live, however I don't have a credit card and I don't want to have to get one. Any advice would be appreciated.

You could probably do it by renting a car locally when you get there.
