I have just burnt my pot

I must have closed my eyes for a minute and burnt the pot I was cooking some beans in. I have soaked the pot in soapy water and no luck. I don't want to use a scouring pad in case I scratch the pot. Can anyone advise me what more I can do as I don't want to throw the pot in the bin as I only bought it yesterday.
It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun

put some biological washing powder and water in your pan and pop it on the hob and boil it for a few mins. leave to cool and it should come off ok.'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0

Yup, I was also going to say bio washing powder is supposed to be good.
Fairy Power Spray also works wonders but is more expensive.0 -
I use neat vinegar if Ive burnt something. Have to leave it overnight though for it work, but it does work, oh and will also stink your kitchen out.0

Don't worry if it's stainless steel it'll come off but it might take a couple of days.
Soak it in a vinegar/water solution for a few hours, then give it a hot wash with Fairy liquid.
Then leave it overnight in a soap powder solution.
It should just wash off then.
Good call of yours not to use scourers, then leave tiny scratches that food can cling too, encouraging bacteria
