I thinkMorrisons try and recruit from relatives and friends of current workers if they can.0

you have completely mis understood me but might have been through the way i worded it. Apologies scooby. I dont have a bad side,
It was a daft comment anyway. If there is one post and 100 applicants, 99 are going to be turned down. Even if 5 or so are interviewed, 4 are going to be disappointed.0 -

Pets At Home I applied for that job too!!!
I got rejected.
Each time you apply you invest a little piece of yourself in that potential job.
Each time you go for an interview you start to imagine working there, your routine, your commute etc.
Not easy.
Hugs to all rejectees :grouphug:
That is so true! mentally I do all those things.
I got a rejection e-mail this week for a job that was perfect hours to fit in with school, school hols my husbands work etc & it is the second time I have applied for it & they didn't want any experience!.
I was down for a few minutes then thought " Oh, well the search goes on" & have applied for another since.
Hugs from me too to rejectees!0 -
Hit up their HR department for feedback, they'll request it from the interviewer - hey, atleast you got an interview and can get feedback so next time you'll have a good idea what works!Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

I don't know what Morrison's recruiting policy is but certainly judging by their Doxford Park outlet (Sunderland), there is something sadly wrong with it!
A truly awful store - filthy, unsafe and (with the odd exception) woeful staff - particularly their 'customer services' who are a joke and must have received no training whatsoever.
Whether it is poor management, low morale, lack of training or a combination of all of those, I don't know but I certainly would not shed a tear if I did not get a job with them - not that I would apply anyway!0 -

A friend of mine has applied for a job with Morrisons but had to cancel her internet as she could no longer afford it.
They did ask on her form why she left her last job and she put
"Difficulties with manager."
I didnt say anything to her but i thought it unlikely that she would get an interview but i could be wrong. What do others think?0 -

'Difficulties with manager' was probably not the wisest comment to put on an application.
It could suggest s/he was a 'worky ticket' (which may not be the case) but those sifting the applications will not wish to introduce someone into the workplace that may not conform.0 -
I finally received my Morrison's job rejection for the New Brighton store, after two weeks of waiting agony.
Needless to say, I am feeling extremely depressed and demoralised.
Did anybody else get a rejection?
Am contemplating requesting feedback, and presume the Head Office address at the bottom of the letter is the one to contact?
A new store opening can attract in the region of 5,000 - 10,000 applicants for around 150-200 jobs so there is always going to be a high level of rejection, When a new store opens Morrisons always attempt to give as many people as possible an interview and usually book out local venues for days/weeks to do so. At one new store opening i was involved with people started to queue the day before!
You can request feedback via Head Office and they will contact the store/interviewer who will call you directly with feedback but as i said earlier usually with new store openings the sheer volume of people applying means that esentially we have 50-100 people per job role to choose from.:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21
June: £43.15/July: £51.22/August: £90.60/September: £29.75/October: £284.07/November: £171.08/December: £29.220
