I've been Money Tipped!

Purchased an item from Supreme Plumbing and Electrical Supplies, 40 - 42 New Bank Road, Lancashire which arrived damaged. I only discovered it was damaged a few days afterwards. Contacted them initially by phone and they didn't want to know. Contacted Consumer Direct who told me that they were breaching The Sales of Goods Act 1979 by denying me my statutory rights, as the goods weren't fit for purpose and not of merchantable quality. I contacted them again within a reasonable time and they still quote the 7 days. They refuse to replace the product so I am stuck with damaged goods and am £40 out of pocket. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

  • Received items, that were damaged in transit. Contacted supremeplumb.com (within 7 days upon receival) and they made arrangements to collect the damaged items and sent out a replacement straight away. Operators are UK based so explaining the situation was less time consuming. Now I can get on with the repairs that are long overdue!:j If they are any problems, you need to let them know within 7 days so they can set it right - at least they take responsibility when it's due.:)

Oh look, a newbie, their only post to me and became a member on the same day that I posted. A bit suspect. I expect it's a member of their staff posting.

I've also noticed that where I posted a review on another site where they were listed, they have now removed their business listing, so my review no longer stands. Make what you want of that. :-/

Send your complaint in writing reminding them of their obligations.

How did you pay for the item?

Also email them a link to this thread. That might get their attention.

Paid for by credit card, chargeback is a possibility. Thanks for your reply.

Very poor service,OP.I wouldn't trust a company that has such a poor website with no terms and conditions on either.

This piece of copy seems very unprofessional too, full of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes! I can't do screenshots:

I would lock them up and throw away the key.

Luckily as they have a trained "Locksmitch" to hand, they may be able to escape, hopefully within 7 days.:j

Hmm,so what's the excuse for not refunding broken goods after the magical 7 days? Has the 7 day refund fairy withdrawn her services?
Message to Supreme Plumbing, who clearly posted the above:read up on consumer law.

A decent company replaces damaged goods, the 7 days are irrelevant.Wonder if you have bypassed the law before and scammed the consumer?

Shame you failed to take responsibility for the broken goods.

P.S. Their, there and they are, different meanings and spellings.
