Wireless Problems

hi i have a netgear wgt624 with a netgear wg111v2 adapter. the router is on floor 1 and the adapter is on floor 2 connected to my computer. every now and again it keeps saying connection lost!!! any ideas? thanks.:mad:

    i have problems with my linksys adaptor but it works fine with the window wireless conection.

    control panel > network connections > right click on the wireless connection > properties > wireless network tab > make sure 'use windows to configure my wireless settings' is checked

  • scooter i am using WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] gaming_guy when i do that it is saying i have a wep key which i dont. but when i type in my wpa-psk key it comes up with an error saying that it has to be atleast 10-25 letters long or something?

    It doesnt say anything about your WG111V2 supporting WPA2... also Have you installed the XP WPA2 update (its not an automatic install unless WPA2 is detected by drivers).. Cut it down to WEP and see if the problem goes away.. Netgear products had a big problem with WPA after an update in SP2

    Hello bob_marley, I have the same setup as you, with a wgt624 downstairs and a netgear wg111v2 (usb) adapter upstairs.
