Replacing existing open fire

We have two open fire places in our house, one in the main living room the other in the living room for guests.
I have been playing with the idea lately to remove the fire place and get a multi fuel insert stove in its place. Thats not a big task, however i am looking into the possibility of getting one with a back boiler and retro-fitting that system to our current combi boiler. This way when the stove is on it can also feed to a set ammoutn of radiators in the house along with providing hot water and the boiler will only kick in to top up the system.
Does any one have any experience in this form of task ?

Wood is not a problem, we own the forrest behind the house so can start felling some trees. I guess my best bet would be to get some one in to do a quote0

I think you need to find space for a thermal store (cylinder).
If you were an industrial control system designer, you could probably design a system with a combination of thermostats, pumps and heat exchangers, but I think you'll find a thermal store much simpler.0
