Just bumping this thread because I mentioned it to Peonie, and it'll be easier for her to find if it's not languishing on page 11!

I don't quite qualify to join you on this thread - my total house-borrowing is "only" a little under £93k, but I'm in this for the long haul because there's only one of me and I only work part-time.

Best wishes to all of you. Here's hoping all our mortgages come down faster than we expect. :)

    Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99

Hello! I have just been recommended this thread/club by Lois and I would like to join please.

sadly we are still on interest only (and have been since we bought our first house in 2005!)

    Our details are:

    Oringal Mortgage: £226,000 (including fees)
Overpayments made: To date - none!
    Outstanding balance: £226,000
    Age: Me 25, OH 29

First payment/overpayment is planning to be made at the end of this month. I'm hopeful to make it £850.

Do we update on here any overpayments?

I'm glad to see all the people now in this thread. I created it and, but for some reason didn't subscribe to it, so lost it.

Anyway, earlier this month we made another overpayment of £835.19, which means we've now overpaid by exactly £3,000 in 8 months.

Monday is pay day, so we'll be making another early next week.

    Good luck everyone.
