  • It seems to be really difficult to give things away !!!--
    - A Tenant "did a runner" and has left me with a Flat stuffed full of mainly teenage girl & boy Clothes, shoes, furniture, DVD's, Videos, etc.etc. which I just want to clear out as soon as possible....However, on contacting most of the High St. Reg'd. Charities, I have been told that they will not accept these Items, unless they are, cleaned, ironed, folded, sorted, etc. They won't take furniture that does'nt have the "correct" label, nor electrical stuff, 4 tv's, computer, bedding, etc. I've tried the SA, BHF,Cancer Care, Blythswood, etc. and was on this site after looking at Cash4Clothes, ClothesAid, and some others who do "doorstep" collections - but most of the info "on the web" says these are not Charities, but Scams !.
Following the pictures of many people in London who have lost absolutely everything in burnt out houses, is there any way of getting these Clothes etc. to people who need them, without going through all the "hoops" that the "Charity" sector seem to be placing in my way?.
