Rug is driving me up the wall!

There's a great programme on Sky (I think Discovery Home and Leisure) called Cleanaholics (wish I was one!), anyhow there was one lady was particularly proud of her livingroom rug - she used to get down on her hands and knees, with a bowl of water, wet her hand with the water and manually brush the rug with her hand - this collected up all the loose fluff and kept the rug nice.
Now she did it 3 times a day - I wouldn't go that far (couldn't be bothered) but maybe once a day would solve your problem?M.A.C.A.W member number 39

Thanks for all the helpful hints and advice so far. I have just got off my knees after "backcombing" it with a marigold glove on one hand. That has produced an amazing amount of fluff so we shall see whether or not the etherial t*rds have been banished. The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0

Grrrr!!
Lakeland has a couple of products that might help:

Take it outside and shake it occasionally.0

A la Anfea!
You should be able to hoover it with the upholstery nozzle on the hoover - that should stop it being pulled too much. Keep the cover on the tube open to cut down the suction, and if you've got an adjuster for the suction as well, turn it down to about half-way.0
