Thanks ICTD
That's a very good argument & makes me feel much better! I talked to DH the other day & he thinks we should concentrate on the savings and if we need to pay off the mortgage earlier at least the money will be there.
Had a mare of a weekmy friend's LO cut her head on Monday, lots of blood  so we had a nice trip to the walk in centre, bit of glue later & lunch at the local supermarket and all was well! Then 4 arguments with 4 random people
:(:( I was pleased to see the back of Monday. Already done 4 hours at work this morning & got a shift from 3pm til 10pm.
Good news money wise is that I have put back all the money I took from other places for that large OP last month.
And one of my items on ebay will definitely sell with the some others having watchers too so that's good news!Proud to be a MFW :j MF aim date Nov 2018

My week gets worse! I got a ticket last night
 Last night I went for my 7 hour shift & we have to get a daily parking permit from this lady's house & then go put it in the car, yesterday she was extremely agitated & distressed so I did it quickly but I forgot to write in her address so got a ticket!
:(:( I called them today & the lady I spoke to said to challenge it so hopefully they will take pity on me! If not that's £25 for nothing - at least I won't forget to do that again! I should get some holiday pay next week on top of my regular hours so that should pay for that.

What a nightmare about the ticket!!!
I had a ticket a couple of years ago when I was an outreach worker and I managed to have it withdrawn - I spoke to the car parking fines manager at the local council and explained what had happened, put it in writing and it was written off......hope you get a similar outcome...;)Mortgage 12.12.12 £55842 12.12.13 £42716 14.12.14 £28837 13.12.15 £25913

Maybe my week is picking up, 3 out of 5 items have sold earning me £49 less ebay & paypal fees! :j:j I'm well happy with that!
I had a lovely day yesterday, I actually exercised! :rotfl: Only 15 minutes of a Zumba DVD because I couldn't breath after that!! But then I did some gardening & some housework and generally got off my butt! And I feel all the better for it. After 3 weeks of dieting I've lost 8.5 lbs which I'm chuffed to bits with ... long may it continue.

Well I have been off the wagon
unnecessary spending on nothing really - magazines, cheap xmas prezzies for the dog(!) etc I'm hanging my head in shame!!
:(:(
BUT I have had a miserable time an uni recently - part of the training is 'process group' (otherwise known as an 'open group' or '45 minutes of hell') but I think I've worked through this & am feeling much better.
Despite the spending I have been plugging away at the savings (we have decided to throw everything at savings for the time being) and I have literally just booked a holiday for next July to Grand Canaria for 1 week all inclusive for less than £650 I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D We have the money saved already & we had planned on a holiday after my course, I just can't wait, a whole week in the sun with darling husband!! :T:T:T:T:j:j:j:j

I have been around, I just tend to find myself on the Christmas board at this time of year. I've not been as good as I could have been and I seem to have been a bit spendy on Christmas stuff!! But still ... not in the red ... so not too bad!
I've got an extension on my Uni assignments so that will be done over the next few weeks and I have found a one year degree course in London so I'm hoping to start that next year if I can get on it! It should be cheaper than the MA course also.
We very nearly adopted another dog and while I would still love to do so, I think we ought to wait a bit longer.
I think I ought to start job hunting in the New Year as well, I'm not really enjoying the job and I would like something where I know what I'm working and what I'm getting paid!
Hope everyone is OK in MSE land ...Proud to be a MFW :j MF aim date Nov 2018
