If you're looking for tickets i'm not sure but i know Baseball uses https://www.stubhub.com for "reselling" tickets, i used it when in NY for a couple of yankees games without issue but i'm not so sure about NBA, but if it's the lakers you're after, good luck, that'll be pricey and difficult to come by.

Thanks a lot everyone for all your help. I'll be keeping an eye out daily for when the tickets go on sale. It's the Lakers my boyfriend wants to see most so I'll be trying my best to get them.

I should warn you of something else though. The NBA much like the NFL are currently in the process of negotiating labour agreements between the NBA, the owners & players known as the collective bargaining agreement, the recent NFL "lockout" just ended about 2 weeks ago having been in place since January and the NBA one is expected to be the tougher of the two to get passed. There's already some basketball journalists predicting a full season lockout, most are predicting at the very least a shortened season - so that Nov 17th game you're looking at (p.s. tickets on stub hub start from $60) might not be taking place at all.
