my 18 month orange contract is due to end in about a month and i will be leaving them for a different network. just wondering what kind of nonsense i am likely to run into? i believe i have to give them 30 days notice, and if i have to pay 1 month's bill afterwards then i'm ok with that.
my new phone will be arriving soon, and when it does i will ring orange to cancel my contract, get a pac code, transfer my number, and say bye bye to orange all as easy as pie ideally ...... but what shenanigans will i encounter (apart from orange trying to convince me stay) and what should i maybe do differently?
cheers.

You don't say you want to cancel- you ask for your PAC code. If you cancel, you lose your number. If you ask for your PAC code, your contract continues till you use it but after 30 days, the PAC code expires if unused.
You should receive no problem from Orange when cancelling, but you may get a call from retentions. Be polite and listen to their offers. It can't do any harm.0
