It's an ADVENT Eclipse E200 with 2GB instead of 1GB. CPU Benchmark of 463. No optical disc player/writer.
It's cheap cr*p. The company selling it is cr*p. The three month warranty is inadequate. There is scant support for the machine other than some investigative work done by forum members.
It's just pot luck as to whether it will work at all. The Outlet store has no quality control. No technical support.
Just look at it as an over-sized Netbook with a relatively poor battery life.
The good news is that you have seven days to try it out. If it's complete cr*p, you can send it back for a full refund.

^^^^ but for the intended use of the OP, it would suffice at the price, and with a bigger screen than the typical netbook. They've run out of the better stuff now, but they did have some decent machines for around £150-£180 a week or so ago.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

if you can run to an extra £40, this one's a full-size lappy with a reasonable spec, and would handle homework better too

The ACER I bought was complete cr*p. Broken and dirty. They admit that they don't check the machines before sending them out.
Arranged a pick up according to their procedure and they confirmed. No one turned up to pick up the piece of junk and and when I checked with them, it wasn't even booked.
The Advent is just cheap rubbish. If you intend to use the built in touchpad, you will need to download the proper Driver.
It's just about worth £130....maybe.0 -

Just don't expect to use it away from mains power.0 -

that is absolutely appalling - I'd heard good things about the ebay outlet side of pcw, may have to reconsider. My refurb was spotless when I got it direct from pcw 3 years ago, and still is. Sounds like these days it's pure luck of the draw, then...... I'd expect a full refund inc postage if one turned up in the state you describe

I went to the eBay "enclosure" recently. I'd be surprised if they weren't checking them these days, as they have several staff on benches with various products in different states. I can only assume someone put the wrong one in for the final sale product.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -

A direct from PCW refurb is not the same thing. They have a 12 month warranty. Th Outlet has three...and with good reason.0
