Turkey recommendations

Two of us want to go to Turkey for 14 nights departing September 16/17 or 18th from Gatwick. We have a budget of £900 in total and would like to get something all inclusive.
I am finding it very hard to find any ai hotels that aren't slated on trip adviser and would like to know if anyone has any recommendations for us.
We don't mind where in Turkey (only choosing Turkey as it appears to be good value once you are there as we wont always eat and drink in the hotel-but we are open to suggestions elsewhere) as we just want to sit by the pool in the sunshine with a book enjoying a cold drink.
A nice beach with in walking distance would be nice. Can this be done or do we need to stretch our budget further.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I went to turkey last year and hated it, believe me im a seasoned traveller but had not been before (and will never go back .) I think it was allanya we went too but everyone on our bus home staying at diff resorts, and diff hotels did not like it. Food was cold, people rude, and very expensive cheeper in spain trust me but that is my opion and i do realise everyone is diff and should make there own mind up.0

I went to Olu Deniz Turkey for the first time this year and loved it. Food was fresh and delicious, people genuinely warm and friendly, and found it much cheaper than the eurozone. Olu is a beautiful resort and I would definitely go back to Turkey, I had a wonderful time!
OP wondering how realistic your budget is though, if you're after AI in a decent hotel for 2 weeks!0 -
we stayed at grand pasa marmaris, i personally wasnt impressed but just my opinion and it did get good reviews when we went,
i tend to agree with a lot of what brand8 says, but i didnt find it expensive.i travel at least twice a year to different countries and resorts, marmaris is the only place i would not go back to.0 -

Where did you stay and how much did it cost. If it was really good then I can stretch the budget.0 -
Been Ai in Turkey , last three years .
Good , expensive Ai are wonderful . Ai on a budget is a recipe for disaster.
So your budget of £900 for two for 2 weeks is very small .
But your dates are good , kids are back at school .0 -

I actually stayed in a small hotel just outside Olu, probably not what you're looking for, but loved the area itself. Ate out a lot and didn't have a bad meal the whole time. I am fussy for good quality fresh food and wasn't disappointed!
Can't really comment on AI as don't really do it, my comments were more related to Turkey as a destination, Olu as a nice resort and my experience of Turkish hospitality!!
Good luck!0 -
