No Im not, Im actually speaking from experience. I phoned Orange one morning from work in the early hours of the morning to report a fault in my handset. They tried a few fixes and said theyd courier out a new one I was given the option of a 9am - 1pm delivery slot which I couldnt take and took the 6pm - 10pm delivery. So I could have had a new handset within 6/7 hours of my call

Ive had a couple of replacement handsets over the years from Orange and Ive never submitted a claim or waited for it to be approved its all been done on a phone call and Ive had my handset replaced no problem. Not sure what happens if your phone has been stolen but certainly for damage or faults its a brilliant service.

Im only paying about £5 a month for it, nothing like £100 a year.

    Hi,
I have just upgraded with 3 to a Samsung galaxy s2- which i am loving. i took the 3 insurance as i tend to lose phones, but its costing 9 pound a month which seems a little steep. i know phone insurance can be a grey area as they have many exclusions. can anyone advise what 3 are like or am i wasting 9 pound a month. maye some recommendations of better insures. i bank with hsbc who do not cover phones with the advanced account.

    Thanks in advance

    £9

You can get a Lloyds Silver A/c you get Mobile Phone Insurance included with it, plus AA Breakdown Cover and European Travel Insurance all for under £8.

And a lot of people think these pay Bank A/c are poor value unless you're using all the benefits.....

You should be able to get mobile Insurance for half the mount your paying, does you home insurance cover it????
