UK Car hire where have held license for less than 12 months?

Hi everyone

Does anyone know of any car rental companies in the South East of England that allow you to hire a car with less than 12 months on your driving license?

I can't find any - indeed many require 2 years' experience!

I'm 29 so well above any age limits the hire companies impose, but am getting caught as have only had my license for 2 months.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please note I've checked through this forum but can't find a topic dealing specifically with this issue. I note there are some threads on hiring abroad when have less than 12 months on a license, or a non-UK resident coming to the UK to hire in a similar way.

Thanks - it's increasingly looking that way. It's crazy though, plenty of people I know pass their test then never drive. So they could have a license for 12 months but have done no driving in that time.
