O2 - Are you having a laugh??

So as some of you might know I upgraded my O2 contract last month,
I also had another contract which I canceled and then got a pac number to port the number to a PAYG

Received a new w950i and all was well until after Christmas and I receive a letter saying thanks for staying with O2.

But is was for the wrong number. ? - the contract I canceled.

So yesterday I phoned them and told them about this and they said they have made a mistake and upgraded the wrong contract. They now want me to send back my phone - which is already customised with software to my liking- before they send out a new phone under the correct contract.

I said there is no way that I will send this phone back before receiving another one to work with. They agreed and said that I have to send the old one back as soon as possible within 14 days, or they will charge me full price.

This is such an inconvenience for their mistake and this month I have also gone mental with the texts thinking I'm on my new contract?

What can I do? Just suck it up and send back the old one or wait for the new one and see what happens?

I don't really want to send back the old one as it's a mission to transfer everything again.

complain to the cs manager.Make a big deal about it and the inconvenience caused to u by this.Just call and say i'd like to talk to the manager and explain the whole thing.They are usually nice and do accomodate.
