Anyone been paid out from Barclays from Sept/Oct 2010 claims

Hello All,

Anyone received a letter from Barclays yet after the goodwill letter?

My claim has been going since September 2010.

Still hanging onto the letter from 13th June about their "deadline" 31st August to offer their goodwill gesture.

Hi, I got a cheque on 2nd August after making calls to the ppi helpdesk every week since I got my letter giving the 31st as the deadline. No harm in trying.

Got my goodwill letter dated 16 june. Have tried ringing, eventually emailed ceo. Received phone call back from head office complaints team thanking me for emailing ceo.
I rang him back a few days later I was told that they are not escalating any ppi complaints as it would be unfair to all the others waiting (would be nice if he had told me this in the first conversation - but i suspect they changed policy).
Was told they are working towards end of august deadline so looks like we have to wait. He did admit they are not being dealt with in date order he mentioned it depends on which queue you were streamed into.
i'm giving to end of month then i will be calling the head office claims team again.

I rang them yesterday only to be told that even though the offers were being sent out this week payments would not be made until a further 6-8 weeks after they have received our acceptance letters back. I told him that I was under the impression that they had to pay us out by 31st August but he said no this was only to get the offer letters out. I know for a fact that I was told a few weeks ago that they would have to pay us out by 31st August. I dont know what to believe now. This is so unfair after being told one thing then them doing another!!

I did have a very suprising payout from Egg on a credit card, which is now part of Barclays I understand, their offer came last Tuesday and I received the cheque last Saturday (they said I would receive it within 7-10 days but it came after 4) and never had to send off an acceptance letter. I would have thought that all accounts under the Barclays "umbrella" would have been dealt with in the same way.

The offer letter thing confuses me as I have had 2 payments now from barclays, one in january and one in july - both were paid directly into my current account (barclays). I noticed the payments first and then a calculations letter followed. I assume if you have a barclays account they credit?

Please could someone tell me what the PPI phone number is for Barclays, I had 2 loans a couple of years ago which have been paid off, but Barclays couldnt (by some miriacle) find any record of me ever having any loans with them. My complaint has been with the FOS since Feb this year, but I havent heard a word.

November 2010 they are really taking the mick, how many loans did you have?
