Yeah that would be a good idea Darren, I'll try and remember to do that when I post.

Yeah what i mean is often the answer is not a tick a box type but you need to put an answer in.To save having to come back it would help possibly if this was stated so we could copy and paste the answer on here first before opening the site with the comp:)

I love the comps boards and am now hooked - thanks to everyone who posts, Kipper, Strepsy and everyone else. I don't know how you do it!
But I do admit that a worded thanks in posts can get annoying (when the poster just puts 'thanks x'). I admit to adding some comments, if the item is funny or someones put a lot of effort in etc,.. but the thanks button is enough sometimes I feel.
Sorry if my comments offended, no intention meant.

Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

The tracker allows you to record which comps you have entered. You tick a box when you enter a comp and the tracker will tell you that you have entered if you look at the comps again. Really the same as checking your thanks on here.

I have won two economy class tickets with Virgin Atlantic, unfortunately I cannot afford to go on holiday even with these tickets in the forseeable future.

The tickets expire in February 2008 and bar a few places and dates they are valid for all Virgin Atlantic destinations, I want to sell these and need advice on the best way to do so, what pitfalls should I look out for and what sort of price can reasonably expect to sell them for, the highest fare on Virgin that I have seen has been around £950 return per person, so would selling the pair for £800 be too much?

Ideally I would like to hear from anyone else who has done this.

    Thanks.

why dont you try ebay you can sell anything on there , if £800 is what you want then put a buy it now price on them , or you could just auction and take a chance :) either way its better than holding onto them and getting nothing for them :)
my name is Kit and im addicted to competitions , the what if is my driving force :D !!

  • Yes my first thought was to sell them on ebay. Or do you have family or friends that may need them that you could sell to at a discounted rate?

Are they in the form of Virgin Atlantic vouchers ? you don't mention. If so you can probably sell them for near enough their face value on ebay
(e.g. £300 vouchers sold for £250 on a buy it now)

Check that you are ok to sell them on - a lot of competitions are non transferrable so the tickets will be issued in your name so you won't be able to sell them on even if you can't afford the holiday.

Are the tickets for flights only as to me £800 would seem a high price just for a couple of flight tickets, or can you book a virgin holiday up to the value?

You could try asking on the ebay board. Some of the people there will be clued up about selling a prize like this. Make sure you accept all methods of payment so there are no restrictions as to who's going to bid and if they pay by cheque make sure it's cleared well before you post. Send them by special delivery and also get a proof of posting.
