Aww Jen, that's such a shame. You shouldn't need to read the Ts&Cs to find out something like that though unless it's obviously a kids or old people's site - people don't stop watching MTV the day they become 26.
As for reading Ts&Cs myself, I do occasionally but not very often.0 -
As with new employment laws perhaps you can argue that the T&Cs are tantamount to ageism and that you will contact your local newspaper/trading standards or equality association. They may turn round and say that the T&Cs are there to be adhered to, however the associations may reprimand them for future competitions. All competitions should be free to all, I am 33 and still watch cartoon network (admittedly when coming home from a drinking session) and if they say that only under 12s watch it then they are wrong and should allow anyone to enter the competition, especially when it is a Wii or PS3....us lads are eternally 12, ask our wives/girlfriends LOL.Digital Camera - Real People Issue 23

Awh Jen, that's really pants!
I very rarely read T&C's, usually only on the rare occasion when I've posted a comp. Just as well that I haven't been able to log on recently to the MTV sites as im way over the hill! but watch music tv all the time. Agree with Xercsees, maybe we shud all bomb their email address with complaints of ageism
:rotfl:.Hope you have a mega win soon

Thanks everyone. In future I'll stick to Kerrang!, much better music anyway lol. I thought it was mean of them to say I'd won then snatch it away again, I'd entered my DoB on the entry form so they should have known before saying I'd won. Never mind, I'll keep on comping..

Sorry to hear they took the prize away, especially as your DOB is on the entry form - Now I am worried they will take my MTV prize away :eek:0

Good luck to you all ~ be prepared to give up all external contact ~ you need to if you want to keep up with the posters on here. Have a couple of days off at your peril.0

Don't worry Lizzie, the age limit was only on that particular comp as far as I know but it does pay to read the T's&C's i suppose.
