  • Hi kittyclaire , welcome :)

I'm quite new to the comp forums too ( I'm usually hanging around the oldstyle boards ) and I've got to say ,there's such a lovely atmosphere here on the comps board and everyone's so helpful.

Hope you have your first win soon.

im moving house in 4 weeks so my goal is to win something anything b4 i go
  • What do you put in the emails that you send off?

At the moment i just put in the Subject heading (if there is one) and copy and paste the answer and question (if it's relevant) from the boards and i then just sign off with my name. Unless it specifically asks for any details like phone numbers and addresses, i don't usually put them in.

But do you add anything else in, like a quick first sentence asking them to enter you into the competion?

 Just want to be sure i'm not sending rude emails to people!

    Exactly the same as you.
The only thing I do differently is if it is for a smaller company I might put thanks or something.
    Good luck.

I use a standard e-mail template that says, Thanks, followed by my full name, address and mobile number. Usually just put answer = if its a question one or blank if its just a random draw.

I just put answer, name, address and phone number if they ask.

I've set up a draft email that I can just add the details to as necessary.

Hi kittyclaire. Welcome to the forum. The more comps you enter, the more chance you have of winning - and there are loads of comps to enter. :j
