Orange PAYG Internet charges

I bought a new phone today on Orange PAYG (wanted one with Internet, and to keep my number & balance transfer I stayed with Orange). Got it all set up, and tried out the Internet for about 2 mins maximum - logged into Twitter twice as there is a pre-set button for it, and scrolled down about 10 tweets each time.

My starting balance was £22.85 but after this usage it has gone down to £22.37, so 48p cost for a tiny bit of Internet access.

I can't seem to find a PAYG Internet tariff anywhere on the Orange website, and stupidly forgot to ask in the shop. I have found something about a flat rate of 61.3p charge for each day the Internet is accessed, but this was from the start of 2010, and anyway wouldn't explain a 48p charge for today's use. I see there are (or were) bundles available but as this is a second phone I don't really need one of those. I only got the phone so I could take it abroad without risking huge roaming charges on my contract one. I know it is possible to switch off roaming, but I'd probably mess it up :o.

Can anyone point me to the charging tariff for PAYG Internet through Orange, as I'm getting worried that I'll get through my credit at a rapid rate even if I hardly use the thing.
:D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Think it's a £2 capped daily rate as standard.

One option is to buy a daily (£1) or monthly (£5) extra from your balance

Another option is to look at switching to Dolphin tariff which gives you 100MB of data each month if you've topped up with £10

Alternatively, if you're thinking of really minimal internet use (under 2MB of data each day - which Orange reckon should be enough, for example, to update your facebook status three times a day) then Monkey tariff gives you this each day for just a £5 monthly top up.

Thanks Stuart, that's really helpful. Looks like it might be Monkey for me, as I don't want to spend more than a fiver a month.
