I am considering a deal with Talkmobile for the HTC Desire S through E2save. It costs £14.99 for the handset and £25/month for 12months. This comes with 1GB of data.
£315 for the year then drop down to sim only contract or GiffGaff.

Didn't see that offer, but look here at the 3rd one down http://www.e2save.com/mobile-phone/contract/HTC/HTC-Desire-S.html?tariffcode=D40TEAPR09

Looks a better deal, but remember it's a cashback so follow the rules to the letter and don't forget they sign you up to "free" 1 month's insurance that becomes anything but free after the first month (you need to cancel it) and also their gadget helpline - same problem. Check when you come to "your basket"

Want to avoid cashback deals if I can. Trust myself but like you say you need to follow the rules to the letter and have read too many tales of people not receiving their claims.
One question I do have is, when the contract comes to an end who do I deal with for renewal, E2save or Talkmobile?
However if nothing decent offered I would go to sim only deal.

Talkmobile. But cashback or no, watch out for the insurance and tech help add on.

Yes, was aware of those. Some recommend putting alert on phone to cancel.
Something to remember also is £30 cashback available on Quidco if go through E2save.
