Contract termination query

I have had my 3 contract for 12 months of a 24 month contract and want to terminate because I have no network signal inside my house. I have put up with this situation as I was sent a text saying 3 were improving the network within my area, but this has not resolved my issue.

I had surgery in early June 2011 and am at home while recuperating and rely on my mobile to keep in touch with family, friends and colleagues and I have to go into my garden to use my mobile, which I think is an unacceptable situation.

3 want me to pay a termination fee, but I feel that because they are offering a sub standard service to me, this is unfair.

Does anyone have any advice or experience in how to terminate this contract?

Cheers,

FatDad 8-)

Generally, poor reception indoors is not and has never been a valid reason for termination. Only if at the very start of the contract they mislead you by promising (in the text message) that you would get a signal after they "improved the network" in your are and this had never happened, you can try demanding cancellation on these grounds.

Having said that, the only chance to succeed in cancellation on these grounds at "3" is to complain as high as possible. If my memory doesn't fail me, it has to be their executive office (search the board).
