Woo Hoo - Roll on February!!

Are February and March 'free' months for everyone? Ashamed to say that I kept such a loose eye on my finances before coming on here that I wasn't even aware that it got paid over 10 months rather than 12! If that is the case it will be just at the right time as hadn't budgeted for car tax (due end March) and I was trying to work out how I could cut down elsewhere over the next few weeks without reducing the overpayments I had planned to make on my cc.Proud to be dealing with my debts0

I've double counted mine several times already! Need it to pay towards my last cc and possibly to beef up savings for tax bill next month. Have been a tad over-enthusiastic with paynig off the debts before knowing exactly what the tax bill will be. Should be OK but cld prove scary!CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420

Just wanted to give some of you a little something nice to look forward to........not having to pay council tax in February & March. :j
So what is everyone going to spend theirs on?
I have ours ear-marked for car-tax (buy for whole year to save money), and the rest will go onto credit card. Not very exciting, but it's approx. £260 that we wouldn't have otherwise, and another step closer to being debt free!!!!! :T
Am playing catch up with my council tax as last year I had a reduction and by the beginning of december they took it off me. Now how unfair is that...??:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
Im not too sure whether we will have it to "save" given im not working.
If weve moved though, those 2 months worth will probably either a) pay off part of OHs cahoot loan to close it down, or to my OD. whichever has the highest APR. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
We've still got to pay our council tax in Feb and March due to council mucking up direct debit and the amount we were supposed to pay when we had 2 houses on the go  although we were living in one house, the fact that our own house had a cooker and boiler meant we had to pay council tax
the fact that there was nothing else in it didn't matter
LIHDebt at highest £102k

Wow! As a recent mse-er, this hadn't occurred to me before. This is great! Its going straight into my overpayment account.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

My car tax and MOT are due at the end of Feb so it will go towards that, only got a little car so its cheap tax for me!:j should there by any chance be any left over its going towards next christmas in the savings accountDo what you love :happyhear0

Our bills budget takes account of the fact thet we pay CT and Water rates over 10 months, we know it will get taken up in TV licence or Contents Insurance at some point in the year. I just find it easier adding up all the bills and dividing by 12 and transfering that to the bills account.0
-
i forgot about that! horrah! we will probably use it for something in the house - decorating or something as it has needed doing since we moved in. although my boiler is playing up so i fear it will all disappear before my very eyes when I call the plumber out......0

Off the mortgage for us. I did enjoy paying the one on Tuesday and thinking "Yes last one" I skipped out of the council offices.0
