Screenwash that actually works?

None will. Using polish on the windscreen and having decent wipers will help more than screen wash.0

Lidl's 1:100 screenwash, not their anti freeze wash stuff which is blue and also excellent, much stronger than the carp sold elsewhere.
Comes in small, possibly 500ml bottles, either yellow or green, lemon or apple flavour respectively...not as you'll be drinking it.
A capful in your washer bottle will make short work of the fly squash, only stuff i've found to be any good, though to be fair all household chemicals Lidl sell are good and fairly priced.
Incidentally, make a bucketful up for general house window cleaning, leaves the windows spotless.0 -
Not really Moneysaving - but dead convenient -is Halfords Mixra. It's an aerosol (I know....) and is like shaving foam. Very handy when you don't have access to water and a sponge, a quick squirt and use the washers before driving off and the bugs disappear. A can lasts me for a month or so.0

I think Mixra is a Simoniz product, unless Halfords have now rebadged it.0

Clean the screen fully with a damp tea towel, then use a degreasing window cleaner and then apply Rain-X.... No more bug's for a good few months“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I've been on this all summer aswell... Works a treat and the bottle goes a fair way... The ones I picked up were less than 500ml but were 99pence.
Come Winter and it'll the Opticlean stuff from Vauxhalls.0 -

I keep a squirty-bottle in my van with water and washing up liquid in it. Cant say I've tried any of the above methods, but water and fairy liquid are certainly up to the job.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I use Halfords (non diluted) stuff in the washer bottle at about a 4:1 ratio with clean water. For a thorough clean I use a nice wet cloth and good dollop of cheap toothpaste (not the gel stuff) followed by a really good rinse/wash.0

The blue screenwash is generally winter screenwash to prevent the fluid from freezing. The additional supposed benefits of cleaning seem incidental to the freezing element.
The only company that I know of that produces a summer screenwash is Holts/Prestone:
