E-mail accounts

Can anyone recommend a good email provider? I'm with Talktalk for broadband and telephone and just signed up for their e-mail and for convenience decided to have Talktalk as my homepage. However, when I start up, instead of being able to click on the My E-mail icon straight away, I have to first close a pop-up box log-in message that tells me to enter my correct email address, etc - but, I don't want to log in to my Talktalk account! Anyway, when I close that box, which seems impossible to get rid of, I then have an AOL form with a blue butterfly to get by, which I don't bother with. I don't want to be with Yahoo anymore as they keep adding all sorts of rubbish that I don't even want to start complaining about. Any excellent suggestions welcomed

I have been using Gmail from the time it still needed an invitation to access it with no problems. I know someone people don't like Google products. It is easily searchable and has a huge capacity.

Yes Gmail is good. You get adverts but they really aren't intrusive.

There is also the huge advantage that should you later suffer from memory loss google will know so much about you that they'll be able to help you rebuild your life. Actually they can probably do that from your search history anyway.
  • Thanks, all. I've now got my very first gmail e-mail!:j
