I used to have two paypal accounts - as long as they have different email addresses and bank accounts linked to them, there's not a problem.
(I used to keep a separate bank and paypal account so my ex couldn;t see if I spent a fortune on handbags on ebay....!)
Now, Andy2013's whole "threesome" smillie is concerning me, so I'll leave you all to it for the evening...0 -
BigAl127 , I wont elaborate to much as it would be foolish to give away all my secrets , but I sell items of a specialist nature in a niche market at this time, sorry I cant say more but everyone would be cashing in and I spent a couple of months researching and sourcing my stock before I went self employed to ensure it would work long term.
Your secrets are safe with me :A Seriously, I can understand you not wanting to give too much away.
Money finally gone into my account, just not quite as quick as promised, but at least on the day it was.0 -
Andy2013 I understand exactly what your saying about not wanting to give away ideas.
That is another thing that worries me when your having to go on business courses and speak to mentors. All it takes is one of them to really like your idea and do it themselves.0 -
I assume the mentors have to work under regulations that state they won't nick anyones business ideas, and as far as I'm aware, when you go on courses, they don;t use real information - any work done is done as an exercise with fictitious information, and you go off and do your own stuff at home.0

Well you guys know how much effort we all put in to get to where we have, no matter how early into this we are, it takes a lot of work, so thanks for understanding .
I have not seen a mentor in months to have to worry about them nicking my business idea, I guess that's one good point !
pinkypoopydoo, we have only just met ..... lets take it slow
CuriousWorker paypal may be a licensed bank but they could not be further from that in reality , there sole purpose is to transfer funds securely via the internet , they don't give loans , have overdrafts and they are not partly owned by the British tax payer ............ not much of a bank .0 -
I got a letter today asking me to go in on Thursday for a review - I've to take proof of work and proof of business setting-up stuff. I have to go and see the old bag that made me cry not that long ago (what a woose I am!).
Not looking forward to having my business stuff trawled through by someone whose job is as a JC adviser, rather than a business mentor.0 -

Your jobcentre sound like they actually know what they're doing with NEA. Sorry the adviser made you cry though, they just can't realise how demoralising it is being the other side of the counter. As it were.
Just take in all the proof you can and be upbeat and gung-ho about what you're doing - it means you don't have to claim JSA again - good luck and hope it goes well!
I am going to chase Ixion again on Monday and see what's happening there. I'm so tempted to just say sod it and start up without their mentorship as I'm just marking time now and people I've spoken with and got verbal commitments from are beginning to ask when it's going to be... I can't lose those contacts due to the incompetence and apathy of the jobcentre/Ixion!0 -
I'm scared that she sees how little money I took in the first month, and decides I've not done enough to be classed as self employed.
Earnings were very low first month, but by the end of this month will be much better, as I have now started doing work for my regular client, so am guaranteed a good level of income from here on in. However, I can't invoice this client until the last Friday of the month. But I have money going in and out the business account, I have a looooooong list of all the bsuinesses I've written to, pimping myself, and a diary full of rambling notes about work I've done, to try and get business.
I just hate dealing with the job centre, and this one one woman in particular, so I'll be a good deal happier when Thursday is over and done with.0 -
But yes, on a positive note, the old b***h does seem to be pretty switched on when it comes to NEA - I can't complain about anything in that area - she got me seen quickly, she made sure the paperwork was processed quickly, and I've had all my money appear when it should, so I'm pretty lucky in that respect.0

Well you can show that your income is going to increase and you're doing loads to promote your business. Wouldn't think you have anything to worry about.0
