Using current sim in iphone

Hello All

Thinking of buying an iphone 4 off of ebay.

I am currently with o2 and get unlimited internet, but I am only on a w995.

If I got a microsim cutter and cut my sim down to size, would it work in the iphone, and would the internet be okay?

If you use a microsim cutter you should be ok but you will need to make sure you have a data allowance on your tariff otherwise you could have some huge bills - iPhones (and smartphones) gobble data

Thanks for the replies guys. The reason I asked this is because a while ago I asked someone in the o2 store and they said that I would have to move over to one of their iphone specific plans. They said that my internet would be considerably slower without being on one of these plans.

If you exceed your data limit your Internet connection slows down.
I think that's what the guy at the o2 store meant.


Obviously, if you've got unlimited data - that wont ever happen...

But when I asked if I could stay on the same plan, they said no. They told me that I would have to move over to an iPhone plan - they wouldnt just issue me with a microsim with the same plan.

its a sales ploy, orange told me the same thing. what a con. he even told me iphones use more data than other phones the idiot.
data is data.
double check its truely unlimited as some have fair use policies of say 500mb or 750mb.

i get 1gb with three and its loads. i never use 1gb.
