Can I get my money back from Orange?

I was checking through my online bills tonight. I am on a 2 year contract with Orange and noticed since July last year 2010 I have been charged £4.25 + VAT for 500mb of internet allowance, I have never asked Orange for this service in fact I have never been online with my phone and would not know where to start. That is 13 months of paying £4.25 a month plus the vat and I want that money back from Orange as they have no right to add things onto my account without my say so and agreement, Before I phone them I wanted to get some advice on where I stand

I think you have to call them first. If the bolt-on was added not from the start of the contract ask for a proof that your requested this. However, 13 month is a long term and you'll be lucky to get a full refund. Bills exist to be checked, not ignored.

Sorry grumbler is right, Orange are very hard to deal with so even if you were right it would be a ballache to get sorted. You can cancel it now, when your contract ends go to another supplier (not tmobile) and when you request your pac code tell them why you are changing (you might get some back that way)

I just phoned Orange and getting £65 refunded on my bill next month. It was an offer they were doing 1 month free then rolling each month. I stated I would never have asked for this or even taken up the offer as I never use my phone for the internet which they must know from their records, Was on hold for 2 mins and then came back with the offer of a refund.

Nice to see Orange giving good customer service.. I myself have had a good run with Orange and would certainly recommend them.

Having had a huge run in with orange - you will be banging your head against a brick wall - the favourite word is 'small print' gets them out of everything everytime! i hate them they have cost me £760 for a phone and contract i never had - but because i cancelled in the allowed time - but there was a bank holiday inbetween me returning phone etc - they are saying it was 1 day late - so i had to have the contract - i never had the phone back and never made any calls - went to everyone citizens advice etc -= and long story short - orange are god and must be obeyed!!!! arghhhhhhh!
