Well I've already done mine but that's not really in the spirit of this board is it! All the answers on the comps you enter on here are worked out by the posters... And often take a lot of time and effort posting...

Well no, I can't agree. Many / most of the "answers" given on here are trivial / obvious. This one took real work. I ENJOYED working it out and finding the final location. I wouldn't thank you for telling me, and I guess others enjoy the challange too.

Good attitude from someone who's won a nice prize from someone else's generosity today. I only presume you won through Fluffynit's post here. She took the time to post to give everyone a chance, and took the time to find the answers which didn't look that obvious, and you didn't even thank her.

    You are obviously very new!!

There are people on this site who save people like me hours upon hours of time, either searching for comps or the answers. The answers are not always obvious, check out davinci!!

I feel you have been rather insultive of the time and effort put in by the regulars on this forum!!

You probably dont mean to be, but before you infer what they do is trivial do a little more homework!!
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷

If you don't need our help and you're not offering yours...why are you here?

I've had help on here with this quest and apreciate it. So thanks to all willing posters.

For what it is worth I went for the south west of Iceland, where a new Island has been created by geothermal activity uniting the 4 elements of earth fire air and water.

Iceland is among the destinations mentioned by the prize company and on the dotted line left on the map. It also triangulated the top of the shape before they removed it.

A huge thank you to all who post the comps and deals that make life so much fun!

You are right here and the omission has been rectified. I just couldn't find the original post when I looked for it - it did not go unconsidered. I did post a few lines in "I won" by way of thanks. It's not quite the same but I could have just kept quiet - as many people may do.

I would be rather more insulted to be spoon-fed the answers. In fact the challenge of working it out WAS the fun. How can you get this pleasure from anything like "complete as many competitions as you can" on the back of other people's effort, other than a kind of avaricious gloating.
Many of the competitions here ARE just to scan a page or so of text to select the right answer, and the real value of other posters is not to give the answer, but to notify the competition in the first place. I would have totally missed the fun I had out of this had it not been for the original post - which I have already said thank you for.

If you mean the board - than I have participated and benefited totally with giving and receiving advice, opinions and information (both publicly and privately) since I joined. If you mean THIS discussion, then you miss the point: there are other things to discuss without feeding everyone else the answers - items like how to use the screens, or the obvious error in the question about the buckets. Or just for a moan.
At the risk of repeating myself - to give the answers out is for THIS competiiton to spoil the fun of doing it - for me at least.
