Your right it wouldn't have been really (not a normal person anyway) but if the minimum spend is £99 then it is worth it really as you are saving a bit.

he would be saving a few pounds buy using this voucher, not a great deal but better than nothing.

even more suspicious that his 2nd PM states that he has tried to redeem the voucher it is not being accepted! So he does not need the voucher but wishes to try and use it...hmmm. Voucher has not been used so not sure what tricks he is playing.

can anyone trace my personal email address or address from ebay account?

If he bids on anything else of yours he can then request your user details. That doesn't show a full postal address but enough probably to be traced. Ebay will also give him your phone number.

For someone who has done nothing wrong you are certainly concerned that the old guy will track you down.

It is available if you request details of your ebay 'partners' , ie you need to have bid or have a bidder. If the phone number is wrong then reporting it can get the other party suspended.

    I tend to agree.

    I tend to agree.

I thought that maybe it was just me being a little, shall we say harsh.

This nice friendly old guy has your ebay id, and has probably saved it. I think even if you change it they will have you saved in your new id.
So it is quite possible that he'll get others to buy from you and either claim INR until he gets his refund. Or wreck your account.
If you weren't honest about what you were actually selling you should give a refund, whether purchased through ebay or not.
It's really all down to, do unto others etc. Or Karma.

Sometimes it isn't something huge that goes wrong with a transaction and tees off a buyer it is a serious of smaller, almost incidental things. As a buyer I would already have been suspicious the moment you wanted to meet me away from your home..it all sounds just so very dodgy. Then a couple of other fairly slight issues and they may be getting a gut feeling that this was all intentional..and it isn't too far a leap for some buyers to start thinking 'scam'.

As Hermum says, and after seeing some of the threads we get about revenge on here I would be slightly worried this could now all gone horribly wrong.

thanks for the replies. Well this buyer made no suggestion to come to my house at all, in fact he wanted me to drop it off at his house.
I am suprised you think i am a scam, well i am not and have no intention to take money from anyone with deceit.

i actually think i have been scammed as the guy wants to return something he may have used.

To be fair, you have nothing to base that on at all.

How much is this voucher selling for in a auction format on ebay.Is the £55 the true value when sold on

Only holiday one i could see on recently , and which has been ended early also is the Amsterdam cruise one.

If it is this one, then it is a little ambiguous.
