But Atos introduced the ‘Logic Integrated Medical Assessment’ (LiMA) software, so the problem is with Atos....
The programme was introduced by DWP’s contractor Atos Origin in 2005.
The dwp fully own all intellectual rights (including source code) to LIMA.
If atos are replaced, likely by g4s, at any point, LIMA can be rented out to them.
The dwp also licence out LIMA to others (probably royal mail, prison service etc) but refuse to say who exactly, and refuse to say how much money they make from its sale/licencing to others.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
