It might be worth running a Hijackthis on your pc anc copy yhe log on here.
click here http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/ get version 2.0.4 for now down load it then press shift and the right click on your mouse and run as administrator, scan and save a logfile (from its main,menu) then it will open in notepad. press and hold ctrl+ a, then ctrl+c to copy it then ctrl+v into the new reply box on here.

Well done on getting it back to running. Sounds like you might have a computer infection, alternatively Norton might need a reinstall in case the restore method broke something.

Definitely do as suggested by Debitcardmayhem, and then after you've posted that log then I'd suggest you try to install Malwarebytes and do a QUICK scan.

A computer repair shop in Northampton. I am wary though as I left a computer in to be fixed before, cost me £300 about 5 years ago and I literally got back half the computer I gave in and parts I had been charged for had not even been changed. I did point these things out and the parts were done eventually but the shop said I never asked for the same spec to be replaced and I should of known what to ask for when I dropped it in. They also refused to deal with me as they said they would rather deal with my husband. He is alot quieter then me but I am not a loud chavvy person, I was just refusing to leave till they sorted out what I paid for.

I always hate when I hear of people who've payed £60 for virus removal, but that's quite blatantly wrong IMO.
