For people who don't know London, this is the one you're most likely to need to watch out for:

If you are coming from Euston you will need to find an alternative route - see bus routes listed in post #1.

Alternatively from Euston if you do prefer to get the tube, take the Victoria Line and change at Oxford Circus onto the Bakerloo Line. It is a very easy change - you just get off the Victoria train and walk across to the next platform (a 20 second walk!)

Hmmm, I'm coming into Waterloo station, and was planning on walking - except the current forecast for Saturday is for heavy rain
With the northern line closed... I'll be getting wet :D

Ah, thank you for that! I will walk if possible, but if it is raining I will take the tube. I don't know London very well (as you can tell...:o )

TKP - another idea, and one that will save you a return tube or bus fare - at Waterloo you can go over the walkway to Waterloo East where there are overground trains into Charing Cross every couple of minutes (and they only take 2mins) :)

And because your rail ticket from home probably says "London Terminals" rather than "London Waterloo" as the destination, it won't cost you any extra.

Oooo, thank you! So many options :D I might not get there now - I'll be stuck at Waterloo trying to decide which one to take :rotfl: Never done an overland train in the Big Smoke before - might have to be that one as a choice!

Waterloo East is easy to find from the Waterloo concourse, you go up an escalator and over a footbridge, and all trains from platforms B and D go to Charing Cross.
