T Mobile - Relax pay as you go

I have been on T Mobile for many years now and have always stuck to the same plan and have never opted for any boosters etc but sometimes get offered free texts if I use a certain amount of credit etc. I am not a big user at all.

I hardly ever make calls but since I put £10 on last day of month I have looked on the t mobile site at my usage and I am getting free calls and texts at the moment. I have no idea how long I will get this for, I didn't get any messages telling me about this.

Is anyone else on this plan, and do you get these random free calls and texts? I used a lot of money last month as I was in Turkey where calls were £1.50 a minute to receive and make - and texts 40p to uk numbers and 50p to turkish numbers. If I can make savings while in uk, I will keep topping up each month which will subsidise my future holiday charges

What exactly are you getting for £10 p.m.?
I cannot find any information on the website, but what I see at http://support.t-mobile.co.uk/resources/sites/TMOBILE/content/live/DOCUMENTS/0/DO219/en_GB/mc20646_relaxconsumer6.pdf looks like a rip-off to me. Spending 'saved' £100ish in Turkey doesn't look wise too.
Calls and texts are available for lower prices at other providers without monthly topups. For abroad use you can either buy some bundle or use a local sim.

You really have to do some maths.

The link you have shown is for pay monthly plans. On my plan, texts cost 11p and calls between 10p and 30p depending on how many I use a month but I rarely use it for calls. I don't usually pay £10 every month, but topped it up in one go this time before I was going on holiday. But if I am getting some free calls and texts each month I will top up more frequently which will build me up some credit to use in Turkey.

I have thought about buying a local sim card but I have been told it is not that simple as phones in Turkey with local sim cards have to be registered, but I will look into that. What I do is take my own phone and sim, but if I was to use it longer than a few weeks it has to be registered or it could be blocked.

I do not appear to be able to buy a bundle which includes calls and texts from Turkey with T mobile. I did spent about £60 in Turkey on calls/texts - but this was far more than my usual usage when there
